    What kind of styling are you doing on the button or the form ?

    I've seen weird things where if someone tries to style only 1 form element it does effect the others.

    Only way I found to fix it was make sure every element had a CSS style for it.

    it's your label. You're trying to use it as a block-level element when it's an inline-level element by default.

    That doesn't mean you can't use a label as a block-level element. You just need to add this CSS, that's all:
    label {display:  block;}
