    When minimized (it seems to 960 and below), on the right side of the site, there seems to be a gap that 'swipes' away the background as the screen gets smaller (and the content disappears because of my overflow: hidden declaration, which I am aware). My question is how & why that gap is formed and how I get rid of it, so all that happens as the viewport gets smaller is a vertical scroll bar.

    Solution found: Set a min-width on the body.
