    Hello, I am having some CSS problems. I have reated an div where I put my stuff inside. Now only if I set border-style:none of that element, the whole layout goes wrong.

    So this is with border-style:solid;

    Now as soon as I change it to border-style:none; this happens

    Here is my code for head ( the element with border ):

    #head {

    border-style:none;
    margin-top:30px;
    width:1000px;
    height:500px;

    }

    It probably has to do with widths of the elements. Keep in mind that borders are added on top of the declared width. Unless you use CSS3 box-sizing:border-box.

    You're going to have to provide a link in this case. A border by itself won't create an effect like that, so that usually implies that something else is going on (parent container that's too small, uncleared float, etc.)
