    Hello!

    I am working on a site and the am having compatibility issues with IE 8 and 7. The site is viewable here:

    www.aloi.com/testsite/index.html

    The 'content' div is supposed to be centered like the following divs but is floating left. The site works properly in Chrome, Firefox and Safari.

    I cannot find a solution! Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

    John

    It's not floating, and in this case, there really isn't a right or a wrong interpretation of what's going on. It just so happened that IE didn't do what you wanted, but in this case, an argument can be made either way. I'm not a fan of IE (or any browser in particular), but this isn't on them.

    This is in your fluid.css file.
    Code:
    #content {    clear: both;
    float: none;
    margin-left: 0;
    width: 100%;
    display: block; }
    Take out the margin-left and you'll be fine. Might want to remove the width while you're at it. As a general rule of thumb, it's a good idea to keep all of your CSS rules associated with an id, class or element in one file and one declaration if you can (this isn't always possible, but it's a good thing to strive for). That way, you don't have issues of conflict such as these.
