I'm designing a wordpress theme, however its been a while since I've wrangled with css and im having trouble getting the nav menu to play along with the search box, no matter how i float it or what display mode i use, the div wont align.

I know its something stupid that im overlooking but im getting my css legs back and i cant afford to delay on this.

    Thanks in advance

You want to put your form immediately after the opening navigation tag.

The other option would be to put a left-floated div with a 75% width for your nav.

Be sure to clear your floats.
