Well I'm just completely stumped here, doesn't help that I'm really new to web design either haha. Completely re designing the site for the insurance adjusting firm I work at. Everything here was done by me using the Foundation 4 framework.

Ok so in google chrome everything seems to work fine and dandy, go to the test site below and then hit the "Locations" tab. (The only page other then index I have started)

Do the same thing in IE 8, hit the locations tab.....no nav bar.....im confused.

Really hoping somebody with ALOT more experience then me could help me out here, and not only offer a solution but explain what it is thats causing this. I would really like to understand and grasp this so troubleshooting isn't so difficult for me in the future....thank you for your time and I'm really grateful there is a forum like this.

You're missing an opening <body> tag and you've got content after the closing </body> tag. That's probably it.

As far as an explanation goes...the solution is the explanation. Whenever you open tags and don't close them (or vice versa), weird things can happen. The best thing you can do sometimes is the simplest... http://validator.w3.org/ .

Thank you for the reminder on W3C Markup Validator, I just cleaned up alot of mistakes I had in my code. Unfortunately my original issue here still exists after passing validation. Only in IE does the nav bar fail to show up, in chrome everything seems to be working fine. This is both when I preview the site locally in IE and when I view it in IE on the test site.

Anyone else have any suggestions? I'm about to just about anything right now to be honest....I'm at a loss here.

I still see the old page with the missing <body> tag. So if it did pass validation, you either didn't upload it or you have a cached copy sitting somewhere.
