    I have a problem with my navigation. I have a table which is 100px wide by 6 cells high - and in each of the six cells is a link. I am using the following code to enable the whoile cell to rollover from a blue bg to a grey bg. What I want to do is to remove the gaps between the cells at the bottom of the nav table.

    Current Code
    Code:
    <style type="text/css">
    A {
    width: 100%;
    display: block;
    }

    A:link {
    font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 8pt; font-style:
    normal; color: 4A627A; font-weight: bold ; text-decoration: none;
    background-color:#E2E4E2;
    color: #000000
    }

    A:visited {
    font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 8pt; font-style:
    normal; color: 4A627A; font-weight: bold ; text-decoration: none;
    background-color:#E2E4E2;
    color: #000000
    }

    A:active {
    font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 8pt; font-style:
    normal; color: 4A627A; font-weight: bold ; text-decoration: none;
    background-color:#31739C;
    >color: #FFFFFF
    }

    A:hover {
    font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 8pt; font-style:
    normal; color: #00FF00; font-weight: bold ; text-decoration: none;
    background-color:#31739C;
    color: #FFFFFF
    }
    -->
    </style>
    Any help would be appreciated - I've attached a copy of the page.

    it wasn't your css code..

    it was your table.. just change make your <td height=""> you need to make the height of the cells with text in a more presise size. So it's more compact if you understand that..

    I just changed one height to 50 and it works fine..

    Code:
    <body leftmargin=0 rightmargin=0 topmargin=0 bottommargin=0 marginwidth=0 marginheight=0>

    <div align="center">
      <center>
      <table border="0" width="750" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" height="100%" class="main">
        <tr>
          <td width="150">
    ------the height i changed is on the next line and i changed it to 50-----
            <table border="1" width="140" height="50" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bordercolor="#E2E4E2">
              <tr>
                <td width="100%" height="1"><a href="index.html">home</a></td>
              </tr>
              <tr>
                <td width="100%" height="1"><a href="about.html">about</a></td>
              </tr>
              <tr>
                <td width="100%" height="1">
                  <p align="left"><a href="services.html">services</a></p>
                </td>
              </tr>
              <tr>
                <td width="100%" height="1"><a href="port.html">portfolio</a></td>
              </tr>
              <tr>
                <td width="100%" height="1"><a href="contact.html">contact</a></td>
              </tr>
              <tr>
                <td width="100%" height="1"><a href="wdguide.html">web design guide</a></td>
              </tr>
            </table>
          </td>
          <td width="550"></td>
        </tr>
      </table>
      </center>
    </div>

    </body>

    </html>
    hope that helped

    For the record.... that won't work right in Mozilla stuff... the anchor ("A") element doesn't support dimensions in Mozilla.
