I don't know exactly what you're trying to do, but why not put a div with the content in it?

anyone else notice the lack of detail in most post being made here lately ?

think this is the 3rd one I've read in the past few minutes that assume we know what they are thinking cause they sure are sharing any details in their question.

Just Guessing but is the questions " why does this display as the poster thinks it's suppose to in chrome, firefox but it doesn't display as they expect it to IE and Opera ?"

simple... cause the poster doesn't understand how to make it display the same.... ( by defining everything that ALL browsers need to display the same )... and all browsers define padding and margins automatically if the user doesn't define them ( and each browser default margin and padding settings are different ).

but an exact question would probably be more appropriate than just guessing

I've noticed this too. It's pretty much "here are two lines that vaguely describe a problem which either has a million interpretations or a million ways to do it, now if someone could please solve it for me that would be awesome."

    Doesn't work that way, people.
