    Background 'elements' pushing content down page.

    So I'm not sure if the title describes the problem very well.

    So essentially I am trying to make a basic landing page using bootstrap. But I want the background to use this code here. The only problem is that I have no idea how to 'push' it to the background so to speak. Instead, the background pushings my one and only container of text down the page.

    Happy to put the code somewhere for people to look at but I'm thinking this is just a rookie mistake of some kind? Regular background colours and or an image behaviour fine.

    Really appreciate any help anyone can give.

    Callum.

    To use the image montage as a background to your page, you would need to add your content on top of it using "position: absolute" on the container which holds your page content, and then using a semi-transparent background colour for this container to still show the background images.

    For instance:
    CSS:

    Code:
    .container {
      position: absolute;
      top:0;
      left:0;
      background-color: #000000;
      opacity: 0.5;
    }
    HTML:
    Code:
    <div class="container">
    Your page content here.
    </div>
    This would however not be compatible with the responsive features of Bootstrap which relies on relative positioning.
