Css glitch or wordpress? Facebook social icon appearing twice.

My site is Symposiarch | Collective Critical Thinking Blog

If you scroll down to the footer you will see 4 social icons. For some reason, and without my knowing, the facebook logo appears twice. The hover image on the bottom part of the logo is supposed to be a small dash and not contain any hyperlink. But instead it is an 'f' that connects to a webpage. It SHOULD be just like the social icons next to it.

I tried replacing the custom.css file to the factory default (the only one of which I have been modifying) but it did not solve anything. So this leads me to believe it is an issue with wordpress. If so, I have no idea how to approach this problem. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

You're targeting every link and applying that background sprite. Facebook is the first sprite, so it shows up on the second link as well.

I'm not quite sure what you are talking about. I'm a complete programming noob, so please, tread lightly.
What exactly am I targeting? I don't recall adjusting anything related to this footer, so why would it change on its own?
    Secondly, brackground sprite?
