    Div overlap two other divs

    Hi there!

Here's a picture of what I want to achieve.

I have div #1 which is currently floated to the left, div#2 is set with a margin left. What I want is a third div to appear across each of the main divs, while the content in the other divs surrounds it. Meaning either the pictures push down the page, or text is wrapped around it.

Any suggestions? I've always struggled with positioning

You can set div#3 to position:absolute (or position:fixed) and give it a higher z-index than the other two.

Besides its also possible to inser div#3 into div#1 and push it with "position:relative; right: XXX px; z-index:2;" to it's desired position.

You may have a look on this for further explantions: http://css-tricks.com/almanac/properties/z/z-index/
