    Login Form Help

    Hi,

    I started to create a login form on Global Community | Quantum Wave.

    Code:
    <form method="post" action="https://shield.tg8.com/client_homepage.dhtml">
    <span>login</span>
    <input type="text" 	placeholder = "username" class="ttex">
    <input type="password" 	placeholder = "password" class="ttex">
    <input type="submit" value="Submit">
    </form>
    It should log in the same as it does on ILoveMyLaser, but there are 2 issues:

    1. It does not work. It used to. I enter my u/n and pw and click submit --> blank page

    2. I want the 'remember me' and 'lost password' section to the right, like in the attachment.

    login.jpg

    I have been googling html form syntax submit syntax

    and similar searches. Getting stuck.

    Anyone know how to address the 2 issues?

    }

    <form method="post" action="https://shield.tg8.com/client_homepage.dhtml">
    <span>login</span>
    <input type="text" placeholder = "username" class="ttex">
    <input type="password" placeholder = "password" class="ttex">
    <input type="submit" value="Submit">
    </form>
    <a href="#">Remember Me</a><br />
    <a href="#">Lost Password</a>

    Do you have any server side scripting? The form post must be processed on server side.

    Thank you both.

    clrktsr, I realize the image was quite small. I have added a close-up of what I am trying to accomplish (but with the Submit button)

    login.jpg

    I'd like to have the 'remember me' function, so it remembers the user.

    When I added the code, it looked like:

    login-new_code.jpg

    and yes, the action button - something is wrong with it. It works on ILoveMyLaser.

    @sasha_bolcina, as for server side scripting, I am not sure. I believe that is handled by the software company that works with the site. I will ask them.

    So, maybe to re-ask:

    How can I have code to look like the first image, with styling - checkbox next to and no underline on 'remember me', white font, slight space from 'Submit' button, centered vertically

    Have functionality of 'remember me'?

    Why is the login not working?

    How have you implemented these features? Did you just copy/paste from the ilovemylaser site?

    The software company? Are you referring to wordpress? What kind of hosting do you have? You will need a php (or other server side script) to run validation and process the form. You will need to create one or find one online you can use..

    ilovemylaser.com went down, around the time 'Heartbleed' occurred, as I saw several core files were missing.

    I don't know enough HMTL/CSS/js, so I had an Indian company re-create it from archive files we found online and they did ilovemylaser.com/login.html]ILoveMyLaser as well.

    'Greystar', gss.us, is the software company who I was referring to. They host the site.

    quantumwave is on register.com. Not sure what kind of package they have.

    Luckily, I just met a programmer here at Starbucks, and he pointed me to How to Add "Remember Me" Login Functionality (The Symfony CookBook). I used a small amount of the code to redo quantumwave.com, thanks again to clrktsr for styling help. So now it looks the way I want it to, but the Remember me does not function... yet.

    Code:
    <style>
    form {
    float:left;
    margin-top: 1px;
    }
    </style>

    <form method="post" action="https://shield.tg8.com/client_homepage.dhtml">
    <span>login</span>
    <input type="text" placeholder = "username" class="ttex">
    <input type="password" placeholder = "password" class="ttex">
    <input type="submit" value="Submit">
    </form>
    <input type="checkbox" id="remember_me" name="_remember_me" checked />
        <label for="remember_me">Remember Me</label>
        <br>
    <a href="http://www.ilovemylaser.com/password.html">Lost Password</a>
