    Question Duplicating Testimonials

    I had someone create ILoveMyLaser. Even though the testimonials were entered once, they are duplicated on the page.

    It's hard to see, but if you do a Ctrl-F, for 'Trishia', for example, you'll see 2 entries, the last one and one above.

    Any idea why and how to correct?

    The marqee.js script is creating a duplicate of every testimonial. My suggestion would be to drop the script. It serves no real purpose.

    Thanks. I am viewing testimonials.html, and I don't see marqee.js on the page. Feeling kind of lost on how to drop it. Where can I find it?

    Code:
       <body>
    <style type="text/css">
    .container2{
    position: relative;
    margin-top:20px;
    width:100%; /*marquee width */
    height:500px; /*marquee height */
    overflow:scroll;
    overflow-x:hidden;
    }
    #marquee1{overflow-x:hidden !important;}
    .container2 p{padding-right:20px;}
    </style>

    <script type="text/javascript" src="marqee.js">  <-- here.

    </script>

    Thanks. I removed it, and the duplication has ceased. However, the scrolling effect has stopped.

    Wondering if that just a bug or something with the js, causing text duplication?
    Is there another way to show testimonials in a cool way, maybe one by one that I could use instead?

    The duplication is likely by design. By putting two of every testimonial, it allows for smooth scrolling. Unfortunately, it creates the same side effect.

    As far as "how to display testimonials in a cool way", there really isn't one that I've seen. Besides, the big problem with testimonials isn't how they appear, it's who wrote them and their legitimacy. They're one of those things people have become really cynical about over the last few years, and with good reason. I think you need to deal with that before you deal with whether or not there's any kind of animation associated with them.
