    Relatively positioned links still work (250px above where they're supposed to)

    Hi there,
    I retrofitted a simple CSS gallery and pushed a list of links down 250px with relative positioning. Links work fine, but they also work 250px above where they're supposed to. I tried to knock them under the main image using z-index but this rendered only the repositioned links unoperable. See what I mean here:

    Scroll around the graphic at the top (which should do nothing). You'll see the links below activated, and the triggered graphic change. Again, I'd like nothing to happen when you roll over the graphic.

    Any hints are greatly appreciated!

    It's because you pushed the paragraph inside the links down, not the links themselves, so you've effectively just stretched the link. My suggestion would be wrap a div around those links an push that div down where you want it instead.
