    Making a website made in Photoshop responsive in height

    Hi,

    I am making a simple website for a friend of mine and I need it to be responsive. I made it in Photoshop first and then continued to edit it in Dreamweaver. By setting all sizes from pixels to 100% the page becomes responsive in with, but not in height. I have tried to make a CSS rule to make the table the page is built around responsive and locked in 16:9 but it did not work.

    Very thankful for any help.

    The html for the page now looks like this:

    <html>
    <head>
    <title>joddskiNO</title>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
    <style type="text/css">
    .table-container {

    width: 100%;
    overflow-y: auto;
    _overflow: auto;
    margin: 0 0 1em;

    }
    </style>
    <div class="table-container">
    </head>
    <body bgcolor="#FFFFFF" leftmargin="0" topmargin="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0">
    <!-- Save for Web Slices (joddskiNO.psd) -->
    <table id="Table_01"

    border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
    <tr>
    <td colspan="15">
    <img src="images/top.gif" width="100%" Height="100%" alt=""></td>
    <td>
    <img src="images/spacer.gif" width="100%" Height="100%" alt=""></td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    ...... lots more html ....

    <img src="images/spacer.gif" width="100%" Height="100%" alt=""></td>
    <td></td>
    </tr>
    </table>

    </div>
    <!-- End Save for Web Slices -->

    </body>
    </html>

    Tables are not the way to go when building a site. For certain things tables work but not for the layout of a site.

    Ok,

    Thanks for the reply.

    Then I guess Photoshop "Save for web" is not the way to go. The html it produces arranges the images made in a table. I will find another way of doing it.

    No Photoshops not a good way to go. Its really not that difficult to learn HTML/CSS. Go check out Codecademy. Do their HTML/CSS course and you will be able to do anything Photoshop can do but correctly.
