Depending on your language/framework, you'll need to encode the characters.

Server.HTMLEncode(your_string) is how you do it in ASP/ASP.net.

Hi thank you... I think the issue I have is I have no idea to encode what to what :-)

it comes from this - Welcome to SOS recruitment! Experience a ?Seriously Outstanding Service? with the South-West?s leading recruitment agency! - SOS Recruitment which has charset=UTF-8

And goes to my site: www.retired4hire.co.uk

Where I have not set the encoding so I guess the browser uses uses a default...?

I don't see it on the retired4hire.co.uk page, but I do see a potential encoding issue in the title of the SOS Recruitment page.

I'm no PHP guy, but you'd want a function like this (I think you're using PHP): PHP: mb_convert_encoding - Manual
