    How can I remove the image at the bottom of this new theme?

    I'm building a new blog and I'm trying out this free theme that has an image of ducks at the bottom of it. I want to know how to remove the ducks, and how to replace it with another image. www.acimsnowlandsclassroom.com

    There is no longer support for this theme, but on the old theme support forum I found someone had asked "is it possible to change or delete the footer image?" And the theme author replied, "Sure, set .duckies to display: none in your child theme or custom CSS plugin".

    So I add a custom CSS plugin called "Simple Custom CSS", and I put in:

    set .duckies to display: none
    .duckies to display: none
    duckies to display: none

    But, none of them worked. So I looked at the source code of the page, and search for img and found the duckies image and it is called "duckies-2x.png". So I also tried:

    set duckies-2x.png to display: none
    set duckies-2x to display: none
    duckies-2x to display: none
    duckies-2x.png to display: none

    But, none of those worked either. So I'm wondering if someone can tell me what to put into my custom CSS plugin to get ride of these ducks.

    And this isn't the first time that I've changed things on one of my sites by adding in custom CSS that someone told me to use, but I don't understand how people figure out what code to use. Is there like a code book somewhere that everybody goes by or something?

    You need to learn html/css. Spend the weekend and check out Codecademy.com it will help tremendously.

    Css isnt complicated at all, but its also not as easy as what you tried (or maybe its easier?) heres what he meant in a more literal way.

    Code:
    .duckies{
    display:none;
    }

    Awesome, that worked. I'll check out Codecademy when I get a chance.

    Thank you.

    No problem, wish I could help more with your other issues, but I am just not 100% on anything WP.

    Hey, after removing that image at the bottom of the page, I replaced it with another image. And this other image kind gets in the way of the text at the bottom of the page that says "Proudly powered by Wordpress | Theme: Babylog by Caroline Moore". Since this is just a personal blog that I'm not indexing or driving traffic to, and nobody but a few people are going to see, I figured I could just get rid of that text. When I view the source code for the page, that part looks like this:

    <a href="http://wordpress.org/" title="A Semantic Personal Publishing Platform" rel="generator">Proudly powered by WordPress</a>
    <span class="sep"> | </span>
    Theme: Babylog by <a href="http://carolinemoore.net/" rel="designer">Caroline Moore</a>. </div><!-- .site-info -->
    </footer><!-- #colophon .site-footer -->
    </div><!-- #page .hfeed .site -->

    <script type='text/javascript' src='http://www.acimsnowlandsclassroom.com/wp-content/themes/babylog/js/small-menu.js?ver=20120206'></script>
    <script type='text/javascript' src='http://www.acimsnowlandsclassroom.com/wp-includes/js/wp-embed.min.js?ver=4.4.2'></script>

    So I'm wondering where I can get into the source code to remove that. Would I go into the editor? Would you know where I would go from there? And what part of the above I would delete?

    In case anybody is interested in how to remove the "powered by wordpress" text in the footer, I figured it out with this Youtube video:

    But, I didn't like the text above my image, so I moved the html for the text below the image html. But, that didn't work, so I tried to move it back, and for some reason when I moved it back to where it was the text moved below the image where I wanted it. Makes no sense to me, I have no idea how that happened, but whatever. But, now my text was off center for some reason. Weird stuff happens when you mess with stuff you don't really understand fully. So then I used the html code for centering text:

    <center>text</center>

    And that fixed it.
