Virtual house with prerendered videos ala Myst using html5?

I want to make a 90's style Myst looking site where you can click on the edge of the screen when the cursor changes and show prerendered videos of the camera moving around a house and stopping at different rooms. When it stops, I want to be able to click on interactive elements that obviously change from scene to scene. What's the best tool to use to develop this easily and can it be done using html5?

Or even something that looks like this:

You could do this in HTML5 with Canvas. Three.js is probably your best bet there. I don't know if it's the "best" tool for the job, but it'd work.

Ahh, I see what you mean, I was thinking of PRE-rendering some it consist of just images with some prerendered videos playing when you click to go to a different room OR just having it jump to a "new room", which would be displaying a new image for the room. Then in each room you would have interactive elements that would play sounds.

Traditionally, without html5, I would have used lots of pages, and hotspots linked to the pages to show different rooms, then hotspots with audio attached to them to play sounds. Videos playing to link rooms would be far too difficult but could have been accomplished I guess with css showing a hidden layer.

But how could I co about this in html5?
