    above code creates a pop up window when i click download.but i need to modify it so it creates 2 popup windows in seperate tabs when i click download.can anyone help me pls.i have no prior knowledge in html

    You don't want to do that. Most popup blockers wouldn't allow that.

    You may want to look at modal dialogs instead.

    CORS depends on what the Access-Allow-Control-Origin header is set to.

    enable cross-origin resource sharing

    It also appears in this case that the page being loaded was on the same server, so CORS doesn't apply here.

    Fair point, though, and something that needs to be considered with the load method.
