    Basic HTML/CSS question

    Hi, I'm working with this template and I'm trying to figure out how to make changes within specific "pages". The pages in this case are designated using the <article> tag.

    I'd like to be able to, for example, make the background image of only the .slide class within <article id="intro"> to have 0.9 opacity instead of the default 0.5 that is set in #main .slide that affects all the other articles.

    Or in another case, I'd like only <article id="three"> to have {align-items: flex-start;}

    But so far, nothing I have tried is working. I'll freely admit it's because of my lack of understanding of inheritance, but if someone could explain how to do this, it would definitely push me in the right direction to getting it.
