    Hi -

    Silly question?

    I have a nav bar - separate cells - with an empty cell at the bottom.

    Problem is, if the main body of text next to the nav bar overruns, the entire nav bar stretches - all of the cells stretch.

    I think there's supposed to be a way I can make only the last empty cell stretch. Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Brian

    k,

    put widths in the ones that you want to stay the same width. and no width just text in the one you want to stretch.

    e.g.

    <table width='100%'>
    <tr>
    <td width='80'>link1</td>
    <td width='80'>link2</td>
    <td width='80'>link3</td>
    <td width='80'>link4</td>
    <td width='80'>link5</td>

    <td>& nbsp;</td>
    </tr>
    </table>

    I put "& nbsp;" but get rid of the space. I did that because if i type it how it should be the forum displays it as a space and the "&mp;" character won't work.

    the first 5 colums will stay 80pixels wide, but the last colum will stretch to fill the remaining space.

    Hope this helps

    Don't worry, I can quickly serve up some cruel hotlinking protection.

    Besides according to the logs it looks like he's only using the file for his avatar here

    Btw - I have no idea what was causing the original issue, but everything was fine in the end - I simply changed the entire site design.

    Twice.

    :P
