    I just started using CSS for layout last night.. It is really nice, but I am having a few problems that I cannot seem to find answers for..

    Here is the test site I am working with : www.templeofdagon.com/test1/index.htm

    and hers the css I am using
    www.templeofdagon.com/test1/main.css

    heres my problems:

    1) In the main blue box, if i have text that goes down off the screen, when I view in IE6, it does not let me scroll down. It just cuts off at the bottom of the browser window.

    2) the moon image is currently set as being a certain distance from the left side of the page. I like the effect though of it being aligned to the right, so when the page is made full screen, it is further right, etc.. the problem is, if i resize the window too small, the moon image covers up the blue bar.. is there some way to set a minimum left position?

    thanks for any suggestions or comments..

    1) Just add overflow-y:auto; to your CSS to where it corresponds to your blue box.

    2)You could do this I think using a margin perecentage such as margin-left:60% or similar, though I'm not if this will change when resizing...

    1) that adds a scroll bar to just the blue bar... it doesnt let me actually scroll the whole page... i want the same affect as if it was a simple table.. with lots of text the person has to scroll down to read all of.

    Thanks

    What if you put the moon in a div with position:absolute set at the left-most position, then set the moon with float:right within that div?

    This is the basic idea:

    <div style="position:absolute;left:400px;top:100px">
    <img style="float:right;margin-right:100px" src="moon.jpg" />
    </div>

    The left and top and margin-right setting are just examples, of course, and you'll have to set them for whatever you want, but this is the idea. The image will float right in the div. The margin-right setting will keep it that distance from the right edge of your browser. The left position of your div will prevent it from going any further left than that.

    I ended up just changing the z-index.. so the moon goes behind the blue bar. i also put a drop shadow on the links so they would be visible with the moon behind them.

    i also moved the site.. you can get to it just from www.templeofdagon.com now

    I saw what you did, and I think that works great.
