I am curious, is it possible to make a text box that has no borders or is translucent\transparent? I want to create a layer to put a form in, and then place that layer over an image so that it looks like the form is actually part of the picture. Then, that text box is going to display the status for my site (so when images get rolled over, the status changes, but the user can't see that it is a text box).

You don't actually want a text box for this. You're much better off using DHTML and having this information stored into a table cell or DIV element. You can modify information inline via Javascripting as well. If you can do an image rollover in JScript, you can do a DHTML text change.

is a great starting point (although somewhat outdated) for DHTML and how to make it cross-browser-compatible.

    Good luck!
