    Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me what to change so that I no olonger get 'Untitled Document' at the top of the screen when I view my webpage.

I'm using Dreamweaver MX although if you tell me what HTML code to use, that'd be fine. I'm sure I need to ammend a meta tag, but I'm not sure which one. This might be hampered by the fact that I'm using frames, but then again, it might not.

    Thanks

    Sam

    The HTML code is
    Code:
    <title>Untitled Document</title>
This is located in your <HEAD> tag. There is probably an option to edit it through dreamweaver in the Page Properties of something?

    Otherwise if there is no
    Code:
    <title>something</title>
there you can always place that code in between the
    Code:
    <HEAD></HEAD>
    tags.

To edit the frames title is a pain in Dreamweaver.

Open your frameset page then either:

Go to Modify > Frameset and then edit the title there.

    or

Go to Windows > Frames. Click the outer border of all your frames and change the title there.

A shorter way of editing the title in Dreamweaver is in the top toolbar. It will show up there in a text field.

If you're editing the title in frames, open your index.htm file in code view. It'll be the right frame to edit the title in. Then there's a text field in the toolbar at the top of your window that says "Title:". It's next to the buttons for the "Code" "Design" and "Split" View options.
