    Hey guys, I'm hoping you can help me out. I made a website for a friend and I used the "text over images" html script but when I view the website in a large resolution the text is spread right across the page and out if distortion. I would like to know if I could prevent this somehow. To see what I mean look at the attachment. Thanks.

    Try putting the text content in a fixed-width table, like this:
    Code:
    <table width="700">
        <tr>
            <td>
                <p>This is my content</p>
            </td>
        </tr>
    </table>

    not sure what you mean by "text over images" , (css?)

    but an alternate method would be:

    <html>
    <head>
    <style>
    .yeah { width: 100px; }
    </style>
    </head>
    <body>

    <div class="yeah">
    your text
    </div>

    </body>
    </html>

    if you are using css look at your positioning.. if the element that the text is in has a postion of absolute that could be causing your problems.. Its hard to say because i cant see your code. This sort of problem happens commonly when you are using layers in dreamweaver. If you can provide more information that would defenatly help.

    I was using the ablsolute code in the div section. I changed it to fixed but the text just went below the image when I wanted it to be over it. I have sorted it all out though, I just changed it into tables. Thanks for all your help!
