    Hi,
How are html emails actually made?
If you try to send an email and do something like <img src="http://www.somesite.com/pic.gif"> it doesnt show up as an image, but rather as "<img src=.....>", as if it is between <pre> tags.

How is it possible to actually send out html emails?

The headers of the mail message itself must be modified to mark the message as HTML. Peruse http://www.php.net/mail for details.

Be forewarned, though, that no smart computer user today would accept HTML e-mail without a plain text counterpart or a conversion to plain text. HTML e-mail is inherently extremely dangerous.

Maybe you can find some what you're looking for with regard to HTML headers in this thread.
