I never took HTML/CSS/XHTML coursework in school, so I wanted to earn a certifcate to prove I know it. The only place I found that offers HTML/XHTML/CSS certification is w3schools.com. I was wondering if it's worth the $65 for certification. I was also wondering if w3schools is a reputable source for certification. Thanks for any help.

Not sure if it is worth getting because it isn't really much of a qualification. Im not sure though. But there won't be a better place on the net to get it. W3Schools would be the first place I would try if I were to consider it.

Probably the best way to prove that you know those languages is to create sites that use it. I think employers would rather see what you can do with the stuff than a piece of paper that says you can pass exams in it. Things like HTML are not that hard, but some developers are better at design, etc. than others. That's just my opinion though.
