    Hi

I was trying to create a rollover in dreamweaver by adding a css selector on my style sheet, i added a:link a:active a:visited and keept them all the same format then i added a:hover and just adjusted the colour but it doesnt work. The text were already formated with a style i had defined ages ago but when i rollover they do not change.

    Any help?

that could be due to a number of factors.. inline styles overwritting linked or imported styles, redefining styles in the same file by having another decleration after the initial decleration. Syntax error, etc.. its hard to tell without being able to see your source. But so long as its written properly and there are no other conflics with any other rules/styles that selector will work.

Right i had a little play everything works fine until i define a style for the a:visited, it was working fine until i tried to get rid of the horrible brown it goes after u click a link.

Also how can i get rid of the underline in a:link using dreamweavers css styles panels?

    Code:
    text-decoration: none;
Perhaps, just use a, and a:hover, that way your visited and selected will look exactly the same as the natural link strand?

I dont understand use a and a in what ? thing is i dont type in the code, in dreamweaver it links to an outside file with all the text info in it, when i opened it in notepad it is not coding just looks like a list.

I set all the attributes other than hover to the smae thing and it still buggers up everytime i use a setting for visited

A CSS sheet renders from top down. Make sure the a:hover is beneath your other anchor proporties.
Whoth steps forth to mock the teal? Whom couldst say a color superior!

Proclamith me, it cannot be done.

you should (for some reason) do it in this order:

    a
    a:link
    a:visited
    a:hover
    a:active

    i remember it as LoVeHA

i dont have a damn clue why it's like that, but it is, and it's not like i care what order i put it in.
