Now this is cool! Just found out about this:
    <div style="layout-flow: vertical-ideographic"></div>

    Vertical text... cool beans!

Indeed. You learn about that and all the crazy aural stuff if you just read through all of the various CSS thingamagigers. There aren't that many. There is also one that says "direction: rtl;" that makes your font flow right to left. Sounds like a good april fools day joke, actually.

I know none of you would really do this on your own time, but I found html reference books very helpful - they have a lot of these tricks including the vertical and the right-to-left text. The reason I know this is because I'm competing in Fundamentals of HTML for BPA (Business Profs. of America <- hehe, had to brag). But if you have the time or if you're bored and you happend to have one of those books, leaf through it, you'd find some pretty nifty stuff

Why not? You're right, they're very helpful. In fact, a couple of weeks ago I picked up "XML in Easy Steps", published by B&N ($9.95 baby!!!) and 2 days ago I picked up their "SQL in Easy Steps".

It does nothing in Safari, nothing in FireFox, and rotated 90 degrees CW and right-aligned in IE. Obviously, it's IE-only, for better or worse.

Yep. Still a funny joke, since the non-IE users are my friends
