    Why is it that when I go over the links on the side in this page the whole <div>/<td> resizes? I am sure this one has been asked before . . .
    Seriously, none of my a CSS styles call to a resize . .
    How is this little nugget fixed?

    Note: Only applies to IE, and sorry about how bad it looks in Mozilla.

    The problem is here in Firefox aswell.

    Here:

    .sidenav {
    width: 100%;
    padding: 0px;
    margin: 0px;
    height: 1.1em;
    }

    .sidenav:hover {
    text-decoration: none;
    width: 90%;
    }
    get rid of the "90%" width on the :hover state.

    .sidenav {
    width: 100%;
    padding: 0px;
    margin: 0px;
    height: 1.1em;
    }

    .sidenav:hover {
    text-decoration: none;
    }
    Should do the trick.

    No diffrence- same resize bug occurs, even if I set it to a negitive percent, much less just not set it.

    That doesn't help anything, because CSS style are carried over, so if you set 90% percent on the normal state, when you hover it, unless you set something different (i.e. 100%) it will use the other value (90%).
    I don't have any idea of how to solve this...
    It looks very,very weird in Firefox, I hope that you fix it

    I can't reproduce the problem in Firefox, teal.

    In IE, it still occurs, so I think, if you change '100%' width set as the link attibute to a pixel value, that should change the problem?

    Yea, but the page is going to be seen mostly by IE users with less-then-perfect machines, so I don't have anything definatle for the resolution, I am trying to make it expandable . . .
    This is truly a bother . . .

    Aha, I gotch'a the answer to this long dead topic (X.x)
    All I had to do was add to the "a:hover" width: 100%;
    Shouldn't have to do this, but it fixes that whole thing up just fine.
