    commonly known I guess:
    you can initialize variables
    Dim Foo As String = "BOO!!!!!!!!"


    also you can declare multiple variables of a type with one statement:

    '******* VB6
    Dim aVar, aString As String
    ' aVar will be declared as variant
    ' aString will be declared as string


    '******* VB.NET
    Dim a,b As String
    ' Both a and b will be declared as string!!! nice!

    In console development Sub Main isn't defaulted as the starting point for programs, and will result in a compile error if not manually entered.
