    var x = window.showModalDialog(values);
    It creates a modal dialog of your current page. Unfortunately, it also means you can't access the current page until the modal dialog is closed, because the page expects a return value from the dialog, as is its nature.

    Another way to force an "always on top" look is to do something like this:

    var x = null;
    function openWindow() {
        window.open(values);
        window.setInterval('x.focus()', 100);
    }
    What that will do is force your page to regain focus every 1/10th of a second.

    Even better would be to try something like this in the window that pops up:

    <body onblur="window.focus();">
    I've never actually tried that before, but it should work. What it does is captures the "blur" event (loss of focus) and forces a focus. Try this one first. If it doesn't work, try the others.
