    Hi, I am designing my portfolio site, and never used JQuery before or javascript at all.
    I am using the JQuery Slideviewer and as you can see here it has the buttons for the images on the bottom. ( http://www.mlarino.com/test/slide.htm )
    I would like to have a description text next to those bottons, like this ( http://www.mlarino.com/test/problem.jpg ), but dont know how to modify it.
    can someone help?
    thanks!

    Hypothetically, you can take the slide part of the HTML and add your text and it should work. I would add a span, so you can style it independently of the image:

    Code:
    <div id="mygalone" class="svw">
        <ul>
            <li><img src="picts/01.jpg" alt="my description for this image" /><span>my description for this image</span></li>
            <li><img src="picts/14.jpg" alt="this is my dog..." /><span>this is my dog</span></li>
            <li><img src="picts/2.jpg" alt="my dog eating the cat" /><span>my dog eating the cat</span></li>
        </ul>
    </div>
    CSS:
    #mygalone ul li span {position:relative; top 300px; left 450px;} *etc*

    I have an eye for detail like you'd never believe.

    Thanks for the reaply.
    But what you sujested doesnt work at all... the descriptions show up inisde the slide window next to the images.
    I dont need a description for each image, All I want is to add text under the window and next to the buttons (at the same level) like in the image I posted.
    is there a way to separate the buttons into a DIV so I can place another Div next to it with the text?
    I just cant find the way to separate that part.
    Thanks

    Does anyone know how i would get rid of the number links below the images?
    I'm working on a portfolio site and would like a clean interface where users can just click on the left/right of the images to navigate..
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks, Cai.
