    Hey Guys!

    First time poster!

I am using a flash template from

    I am working with main.fla and tfile_main.xml.

main.fla has the total layout of the site, and is almost complete, but I want to add the below javascript to one of the 'pages' of this flash site where there is currently a text box titled 'thistext1' only.

    The script is

    <ul id="twitter_update_list"></ul>
    <a href="" id="twitter-link" style="display:block;text-align:right;">follow me on Twitter</a>
    <script type="text/javascript" src=""></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src=";count=5"></script>
Though within the text box it only shows as the above code (viewable in the attachments), and does not do as I would like (similar to the 'mini blog' on

    How can I fix this?!

Im assuming either I need some form of change in the coding to make it work, or perhaps a linkage to the text box that it should be showing in?

you're not going to be able to output javascript text into an XML document like that. you will probably have to write a php XML parser to pull that information. It's not really a simple solution to solve this problem, but an XML is more of a source of plain text. Sorry, I really can't think of an easy way of doing this.

Wait, so are you trying to use this Javascript within Flash or within a containing page that is HTML? If the latter, you can probably use ExternalInterface to do some fun calls that will pass the JS from the XML into a function that's actually running in Javascript, and then put it into the page from there. If it's within Flash... That's a little more complicated.
