personally it seems like a whole lot of trouble to go through for a slow, high-level (so roundabout and therefore slow) method of animating your site... unless you are looking to preserve plain-text content on the elements you want animated, or overlap your content with animated elements, there's no reason to use javascript instead of flash, which accesses the client machine's display functionality directly. :-)

really i want to try exploring javascript and those kind of abilities it has. i could try jquery for doing it, but dont know how to time it all and that stuff, make it go in a sequence or things like that.. do you know of any good tutorials?
