I tried to make this work, but you can't view the actual scripting for the examples they have:
http://jquery.vostrel.cz/reel

I wish they had a separate web page with one demo, so I could see how the header looks,
and how it is initialized, and how the tag looks.

Has anyone done this before?
Could someone show me a page where this is being done?

Thanks

it seems pretty straight forward. they don't use an img tag, they use a div:

the img tag is a placeholder, and they use a reel image in the background of the of the div, and simply reposition it based on your height and width attributes. the above uses this reel image:

http://jquery.vostrel.cz/demo/rc-reel.jpg

does that help?

Someone showed me the demo on a page all by itself:
http://jquery.vostrel.cz/reel/example.html

Viewing the HTML explains it very well.

Alligator, you are right ... they use a placeholder ... that is key, as the image is blank without it.
Thanks ... it all comes together now.

Did you get your own version working now?

Alligator ...
Yes, it was this part that I originally didn't see:

Code:
