Okay so I'm new to javascript,
I am fluently familiar with the syntax and how everything works, the loops ifs and elses etc. etc.
I am an advanced programmer in GML and it uses the exact same syntax, just not functions (as it is for game executables.)
all I dont know is the built-in functions and what they do.
does anyone know of a place with an explanation?

I am trying to make a featured content system,
the last 4 files added into a directory I want to load into the table-cell's
I know HTML and CSS to a higher extent so no need to explain that.

    Thanks if anyone could help,
I would prefer an explanation of javascript built-in functions because I like to do things myself.

    Thanks in advanced,
    Bombshell

The reference I use is https://developer.mozilla.org/en/JavaScript , although it's easier to search that site (with Google) rather than try to browse it.

You might want to look at some Javascript frameworks too to reduce the tedium and inconsistencies of Javascript across browsers. I prefer Prototype (http://www.prototypejs.org/).
