    I am trying to get into more Dynamic web design and i was thinking how some of you do your animation on your sites?? I am aware of the PNG animated images through flash or after effects. BUT i have been thinking about doing more code end and was wondering if you guys prefer animation through PNG or through JavaScript loops and events?

    Javascript, specifically jQuery. More control.

    Here you go: http://api.jquery.com/category/effects/
    w3schools has some good tutorials: http://www.w3schools.com/jquery/jquery_effects.asp

    Here's a Fade example: http://www.w3schools.com/jquery/tryi...yjquery_fadeto

    HTML Code:
    <html>
    <head>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="jquery.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    $(document).ready(function(){
      $("button").click(function(){
        $("div").fadeTo("slow",0.25);
      });
    });
    </script>
    </head>

    <body>
    <div style="background:yellow;width:300px;height:300px">
    <button>Click to Fade</button>
    </div>
    </body>
    </html>

    graphicsman, what are you trying to get out of this post? You ask for a decision between JavaScript and PNG animations, which is fine (kinda), then once the answer comes out, refer us all back to w3fools? ughh. Maybe the scope of the answer is beyond the ability of the question?

    Gotta admit, graphicsman, phillihp has a point here. I know you hate W3Schools, but he had no way of knowing that himself, and he did post something that could have potentially been of help. He also clearly wasn't spamming. So you gotta cut the guy a little slack, knowhatIsayin'?
