Hello everyone, I'am working on a website currently that was developed before I started working on it. I was trying to validate the website through W3C validation but I was getting a list of error listed below: I'am also giving the source code where I'Am getting the errors. I would be highly grateful if somebody can help me with this
1. ?
• Line 161, column 27: xmlParseEntityRef: no name
var match = RegExp('[?&]' + name + '=([^&]*)')
• Line 161, column 45: xmlParseEntityRef: no name
var match = RegExp('[?&]' + name + '=([^&]*)')
• Line 164, column 18: xmlParseEntityRef: no name
return match && decodeURIComponent(match[1].replace(/\+/g, ' '));
• Line 164, column 19: xmlParseEntityRef: no name
return match && decodeURIComponent(match[1].replace(/\+/g, ' '));
2. character X is the first character of a delimiter but occurred as data
?

This message may appear in several cases:
• You tried to include the "<" character in your page: you should escape it as "<"
• You used an unescaped ampersand "&": this may be valid in some contexts, but it is recommended to use "&", which is always safe.
• Another possibility is that you forgot to close quotes in a previous tag.

• Line 161, column 27: character "&" is the first character of a delimiter but occurred as data
var match = RegExp('[?&]' + name + '=([^&]*)')
• Line 161, column 45: character "&" is the first character of a delimiter but occurred as data
var match = RegExp('[?&]' + name + '=([^&]*)')
• Line 164, column 18: character "&" is the first character of a delimiter but occurred as data
return match && decodeURIComponent(match[1].replace(/\+/g, ' '));
• Line 164, column 19: character "&" is the first character of a delimiter but occurred as data
return match && decodeURIComponent(match[1].replace(/\+/g, ' '))
Source code:

function getParameterByName(name)

{
var match = RegExp('[?&]' + name + '=([^&]*)')
.exec(window.location.search);

return match && decodeURIComponent(match[1].replace(/\+/g, ' '));
}

Put your function in a .JS file and call the .JS file.

It sounds stupid, but in this case, it should give you your answer.
