Does anyone know how to tie a PDF file to a specific computer?

The solution does not have to be perfect, just a roadblock to someone sharing a PDF file.

    Thank you

I am looking for a simple digital rights management solution. Is there a way to tie a PDF document to a specified computer so another computer may not open the file?

The solution does not have to be foolproof, just a preventative roadblock to help stop people from sharing the file (passwords wont work because users will simply share passwords). Also, functionality of Reader 10 must be preserved.

    I found a solution here:

The server edition satisfies my needs but as you can see it is $5,000.

The solution also needs to be scalable to a large amount of PDFs being sold.

    Please help,

    ThankyouThankyouThankyou!

You can make the pdf so the user needs to have a digital signature.
But the user must have that digital signature.... so.. yeah..

Adobe just shut down their PDF document management system that allowed you to restrict access to a particular user, make it where they cannot share, etc...and Destroy the document after a set time frame.

You can use a digital signature, just like in outook, but you need to use the full adobe acrobat suite to be able to apply the differing levels of signature. and acquire digital signatures for you and the receiver.

I know it can be done outside of using the Adobe Server solution, as one of our customers sends all PDF's encrypted, and require you to login to there server to get a certificate so that you can verify who you are before you can open any of their documents.
