    I know ive seen it done, but i would like to create a way that a menu will transition to the different tabs till someone hovers over anything in the material.

    Can you explain a little more clearly what it is you want?
    It sounds like you want the tabs in a menu to change in appearance when certain text or images are moused over in the page content.

    no i actually want to figure out how to design a TAB that will transition to other tabs till someone hovers over the content the tab is displaying

    however i think i did see a pause from the code on nivo slider, ill have to check

    sort of, a change in tabs

    such as:

    tab1 tab2 tab3

    each tab will have information and the jquery will transition to the different tabs and display the content till someone hovers over that section that shows the content, ill have a working prototype up by tomorrow.

    So you'd have the content showing in some sort of modal window as the tabs become highlighted automatically by jQuery, and also have each of the content blocks somewhere on the page to be hovered over?
    Or will the javascript rotate through the tabs, showing the content in a popup of some kind, and when the mouse is hovered over the popup the jQuery stops rotating through the tabs?
