Contact form with Lightbox submit

Hi all.

Okay I have looked through some threads but couldn't actually find anything so am posting here.

I have a contact form (really?! YOUR KIDDING!!)

but on submit, instead of it sending me to another page saying "Thanks" I want a lighbox to appear saying, "Thanks" or "Error"

any Ideas where I can find this? I have been banging my head against the wall for a few hours now...

That sounds like you'll need some ajax magic, since you need to send the form info without leaving the page. Not really my forte, but here's a tutorial I found to that effect: http://net.tutsplus.com/tutorials/ja...-using-jquery/

Thanks for this Ronald, i saw this when I was looking around. But it needs to be an actual contact form rather than a call me back form :/

You could change the form to submit whatever information you need, couldn't you? Or perhaps I'm misunderstanding what you want...

Here is a light box contact form. The whole form is a light box, but it has a "goodbye" message like you wanted.

Close but still not quite there :/

I dont want the contact form in a modal. I just want a popup saying "Thanks, we will contact you soon" or "Error you made errors" to be in a modal, the contact form has to be on the actual page. I dont want the site to divert to another page to say thanks i just want it to lightbox or modal up instead.

Just had a look at the code. I'm not totally sure with JScript unfortunately, but have been playing around with it. I really cant get it to do what I want it to.

All I want to put in it is a textarea for the message. But when i do it. it doesnt float the box below Phone it just overlaps behind and I am not totally sure why. Any help with this would be most appreciated. But you were right Ron, thats EXACTLY what i want. Just with an Input to add a message too Thanks man
