I'm having a really weird problem with the javascript on my website. It only works sometimes. Sometimes, I visit the website, and all the javascript works great. Other times, I visit the website, and all the javascript does not work at all.

    I am using CloudFlare CDN.

Looks like it's doing something. What does/doesn't it do when it doesn't work?

By the way, I tried countering Snot as a Solo, even though I have absolutely no idea what that means.

Here's a video of how the website should look when JavaScript is working: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dc2WtGNv4RQ

Weird..it did all of that. It's going to be tough to figure out since it's a hit and miss thing, but what you might want to try is opening it up in Google Chrome, running the developer console and when it misses see if there are any errors.

I can't be of much more help to you than that because everything seems to be fine.

I've only seen that once or twice... Where someone was using the google Api's

Have you tried putting the JavaScript directly on your site and calling and loading the locally ?

The issue one of my clients was having was a firewall thing... Restricting ( actually throttling ) access to those API's... Causing them to fail at times... Putting a copy on the site locally resolved the issue.

    Just a thought

Hmm... That's interesting. I'll try to store it locally. Firewall on my host? Or on CloudFlare? Or on Google? Is there any way of solving this issue without storing it locally?

The best way is to store it locally. You control the placement of the file, and if there's an issue it's always much easier to diagnose.

Quite frankly, I don't understand why people would want to put things "in the cloud" that relate to what they're working on. There isn't an argument that justifies the relinquishing of control over your end product.

Putting the javascript on my host didn't fix it.

Edit: It seems the JavaScript doesn't work on Chrome or FireFox. But it works 100% on IE.

Well, it turned out that CloudFlare full optimizations was breaking it.

    I wonder why.

Edit: "RocketLoader" under CloudFlare was the feature breaking it. It seemed that only 25% of the javascript was downloaded. When I checked the javascript using FireFox's console, half of the javascript was cut off.

That would explain it. A truncated script will almost always cause some problems.
