    I refer to a js-file on remote computer by :

    <script src="">

    The remote server is unstable at times, and when the external script is not found, no other information are being displayed on my phppage prior to an approx 30 sec timeout.
    Is there a way to load the rest of my page without having to wait for a timeout, a way to change the timeout (to 5 sec), or a way to check if the file exists prior to trying to load it?

    Which of theese three solutions is easiest, most elegant og most realistic?

    What I done is put the <script> in a comment.

    I put some text underneath it just to see if it does what you said.

    It displayed the text straight away when I opened it.

    Then I took away the comment and then the .js file worked anyway. If it not your file, ask the owner if you can copy it to your space and link that way.

    <script src="">
    u need js
    load this text now dammit.
