    Hi,

First, some background, htmlarea is a fancy set of javascript that will replace textareas on your site with an inline HTML editor. v2 took advantage of some IE-only extensions, v3 aims to work on all modern browsers.

I've used v3 beta on a site, but it has a bug that means the only htmlarea passed on is the last one. I've managed to track it down to the htmlarea.generate() function. This does some fancy DOM stuff to replace the textarea, then replaces the textarea's form's onsubmit() function with a line that does some cleanup.

And this is where I think the problem lies--each time a htmlarea is generated, the form.onsubmit() function is set to clean up only this htmlarea.

So, what I'd like to know is how do you append to a function in JavaScript, or, alternatively, how do you make a duplicate of a function and attach it to another object...

I don't want to do their beta testing work for them, so if there isn't a simple answer, I'll just put in an ad-hoc function to replace multiple textareas at once.

The file in question is at http://www.fihs.net/htmlarea/htmlarea.js , and the generate function is on line 546.

The htmlarea home page is http://www.interactivetools.com/products/htmlarea/
