    Joomla! is way better than wordpress, you can do whatever you want in Joomla, there are lots of extensions for everything you need to do. I use it even for the simplest websites.

    Joomla Voted too. Even building unique templates in Joomla is simpler than building them in wordpress...

    WP is in my opinion much better for theme design - child themes on a basic core framework enable you to keep current with updates without losing functionality. The framework stays the same and will upgrade with new versions - the child theme is your own specific functions and styling and will not break the core code when updates are released.

    I think that WordPres and Joomla are quite different. It isn't right to compare them.
