    I have tried other web-forums and I am looking for a place to ask questions about things I run across in designing my website with Dreamweaver CS5. It isn't always about Dreamweaver, sometimes just about html, css, etc.

    I hope I can get help here and also, I hope I can help other's even with my limited knowledge so far. I have learned some tricks though and will be glad to share.

    Thank you, Denise(nwcountry)

    Hi, and welcome.
    You will find that most of us here are not huge fans of DW - it does tend to bloat code and the design view sucks big-time.
    That said, we welcome all questions and will do our best to help. You'll find us a community of very varied experience and ability, with the common thread being a desire to improve our skills and share our knowledge.

    What do you recommend beside DW? I mean notepad is just text right? It is not something I can build a site with is it?? I appreciate what I have seen so far of this forum. I want to contribute as well. I love to help people. I am just not well educated in the webdesign thing but I have a great desire to learn

    Not Notepad - Notepad++ (Notepad-plus-plus)
    I design all my sites in either Notepad++ or another free download called HTML-Kit

    I'm sorry Alpha but I think I can do this but it will take me some time. This is the best idea and I may be able to call a friend to walk me through. Is a testing server something like what we are trying to do? I noticed I have that option and seems you mentioned JSP above and it is there for an option as well.

    You're switching forums - took me a minute to find you.
    I think we need to establish some basic glossary terms - when I say a testing server, I mean a virtual server (WAMP) set up on my computer so that I can test pages before uploading them. Is this what you mean?

    As for calling a friend - OK, but the more people giving instructions the better a chance for misunderstandings and mistakes.

    I've been researching Dreamweaver and it seems that the easiest way to do this would be for you to create the folder on your computer with all the necessary files and then just upload the whole folder. Then just let me know the folder name, and the filename of the page with the flipbook on it.

    Just curious - where are you located?

    Your file structure should look something like this:

    I thought you meant give you access to my files on my remote server, Hostgator(webhost). I set it all up and they say you can view them with the password and username.
