Hi, guys. The title just about says it all. I've started my own (at this point, one-man) freelancing company. I'm more than competent with the programming side of things (PHP, ASP.NET MVC), but I'm horrid when it comes to design. Amazingly, since websites are primarily a visual experience, my lack of ability is a liability for me.

So, with that said, I'm hoping that I can bounce some ideas off of you and get some much needed guidance. I want to at least get to the point where my sites don't look like they've been developed by an angry blind mongoose.

If you're good enough with the code, consider hiring a designer. Being good at both, especially for larger sites, is really hard.

    Thanks for the warm welcome!

Yeah, I likely will hire a designer for larger projects. Right now, most of my projects are fairly small in scope, so the additional overhead isn't worth it.
