    Hello Fellow Designers
I'm teaching myself web design and I need some help. I can put my background music on my home page but every time I change pages or click a button my music starts over again. Can anyone help me solve this problem? I think I need to figure out how to just change main content but I can't figure that out.

    Hi Larry,

Welcome, perhaps posting your questions in an appropriate section instead of introductions would help.

That being said, understand that if the file that holds the music is embedded on each page, when a user moves from one page to another, you are reloading the file.

The only way to stop that is to open a new window, and might I suggest that you put a controller to allow users to either play or not play... One of the most irritating things I hear from people ( you can find it in the "dont's" section...

Play music on a page open, and not have a way to turn it off or control the volume... People will leave quickly.

What he said. If you interrupt Jimmy when I'm looking at your site and I don't see it coming, I'm gone. Never interrupt Jimmy. That's a cardinal sin.
If I've helped you out in any way, please pay it forward. My wife and I are walking for Autism Speaks. Please donate, and thanks.
