Hi. I'm Spike, a 19 years old web developer and designer. I started the business about five years ago with plain HTML and since then been learning all kind of technologies from CSS, PHP+MySQL, Javascript+Jquery and 'HTML5' to Flash and Silverlight. Recently I've been doing some small PHP+MySQL applications and a bit larger HTML5 applications. At the moment I'm actually doing my non-military service thingy in a research group of 'building future tools for education with new web technologies' or something in a university.

I'm quite motivated to learn more and develop my skills [S]to become a pokemon champion[/S]. I realized only recently that community and discussions with other developers are very important resources to improve.

I'm also an active gamer and interested in game development as well. ^^
[Edit - link removed as per forum rules. AlphaMare.] I made some time ago. It's not much but I think it's somewhat potential HTML5 experiment, especially with a script editor I had designed but yet not implemented to it.

[Edit - link removed as per forum rules. AlphaMare.] even though I'm not very proud of it as it's now. I'm thinking about doing a complete redesign for it. And doing it well this time.

    Welcome to the forums.

I hope you will find what you are looking for here - we are a great bunch of people who really like helping others, and are also always open to learning more. You'll find us a very varied group when it comes to experience and expertise, but one thing we all have in common is that we are here to learn and help others learn as well.

That said, link dropping to promote your own sites is frowned upon in these forums, even when used as an introduction, so I've removed your links from the post above. There is a place to post a link and ask members to check out your site, in theRatings and Reviewsforum.

May I suggest that, as a new member, you should read the rules before you post again, just so you know how these forums work.

Ah, I see. I did read the rules, but didn't realize they were that uh.. strict, I guess. Honestly I didn't mean just to promote my website but make the post a bit more interesting. After all websites are quite relevant part of web development. =p

Well, if they weren't strict, they'd be called suggestions, not rules.

Yes, indeed they are, and that's exactly why we have a whole forum devoted to Ratings and Reviews of websites, where every site has a posted link. Post your site there - I think the members will be interested to see what you've done. We don't get many game developers posting on here and I think it will be very interesting.
